Catie Munnings is a British rally driver.

She began her career in the European Rally Championship where she won the 2016 Ladies Championship at just 18 years old, making her the first Brit to win a European Rally title in 49 years. Graduating into the Peugeot Rally Academy for 2018, Catie placed fourth overall in the European Rally Championship two-wheel drive category.

Her continued success led to her becoming a Peugeot Brand Ambassador and the UK’s first ever female motorsports athlete to sign a sponsorship deal with Red Bull.

Continuing to compete in the European Championship until she moved into the Junior World Rally Championship in 2020, Catie also raced for Bentley in the Austrian GP Ice race, and more recently; alongside Timmy Hansen, has signed to drive for Andretti United Extreme E team in the first season of the Extreme E Championship.

Extreme E is an off-road racing series that uses electric SUVs to race in the most remote parts of the world, such as the Amazon rainforest, Arabian desert and the Greenland Ice sheet.

All racing locations maintain a ‘legacy programme’, which is chosen and run by expert Scientists, to make a positive contribution towards the impacts of climate change relating to that area, all while using the power of the voice that sport has to raise awareness of the climate issues we’re facing.

The Championship also mandates that all teams must consist of a female and a male driver, and the race result will be a combined result of the two drivers.

Catie advocates for causes close to her heart, and has partnerships with a number of organisations.

Her ambassador roles for the Sean Edwards Foundation and IAM Roadsmart promotes driving safety awareness, and her work with the ‘Women of the Future’ programme and ‘Girls on Track’ campaigns encourage girls to get involved in motorsport and celebrates their achievements.

Catie also placed top 4 in the ‘Sunday Times Sports Women Of The Year’ awards, and is a regular judge for Cartier’s ’Style Et Luxe’ competition.

Catie has also built a successful TV career, presenting her own CBeebies TV series “Catie’s Amazing Machines”, Goodwood Festival of Speed, and more recently as chief test driver on Dave’s ‘Secrets of the Supercars’.

Catie continues to inspire generations through public speaking engagements, speaking passionately about all the different aspects of her work.
