Catie Munnings is a 19 year old female Rally Driver who has been selected to drive in the Junior European Rally Championship. In 2017 Catie is also a Peugeot UK brand ambassador. She will be competing in a factory Peugeot 208 R2 as part of the Sainteloc Junior Rally Team. Based in St Etienne the highly respected team has had great success with the Peugeot Rally Academy both in the ERC and the WRC, taking promising young drivers and turning them into winners.
Catie's project is slightly different, whilst she has grown up around motorsport with the family business, her route to international competition was far from traditional grass roots. Catie showed huge potential in a test and the team in France, along with her PR representation here in the UK are working to turn her into a competitive driver. Each step is going to be covered on social media and a TV company, Special Stage UK, are following her progress by making a documentary, including everyday life - school life, hobbies, training and the championship itself.
Anne Katharina Stein from Eisenach in Germany - At only 26 Anne has alot of experience, she has competed all over Europe & the middle east and her knowledge is a key part of the team. Sometimes overlooked, the co-drivers role in a rally car is vital, apart from maximising the cars speed through the timed stages by accurately reading the pace notes Anne has so many other duties.
The team must stay within a tight time schedule through any rally, she constantly collates information about weather, fuel requirements, tyre usage and ensuring the whole team functions at its best. Aside from winning the 2016 FIA ERC Ladies trophy with Catie, Anne also won the two wheel drive category in the 2016 ADAC German National Championship with Philip Knof. Anne is every bit as determined as Catie to compete at the highest level, together they are a formidable team.
